While studying cinematography at AFDA, Nicholas began his career as a freelance cameraman and photographer. Working on a variety of shoots over the following years, it quickly became clear how fundamental good lighting was in creating cinematic visuals.
​
In 2023, Nicholas moved to Amsterdam and began working at a lighting equipment rental. As well as providing a means to improve his technical knowledge, this opportunity also gave insight into the business side of film and how productions handle equipment rentals.
After a year and a half abroad, Nicholas returned to Cape Town with a fresh mindset, and a new focus on Lighting. Thus, Cineglow was started with the goal of providing accessible lighting solutions for all types of film and video productions.
WORK
Project Name: 'REMAX: The Agent You Want'
Cineglow collaborated with Epitome Studios on this short video commercial. The goal was to create a natural yet cinematic look and feel with lighting.
